Good news to all our budding creative talents out there. In line with developing our national creative scene, members of the public can apply to undertake full-time and part-time courses in CG Skill, a skill-based creative learning centre which offers training courses in 3D modeling and animation at the MSC Malaysia Cybercentre @ KL Sentral.
These courses offered are part of the tri-party collaboration between the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), creative content and advertising company IM Foremost Sdn Bhd and KL Sentral Sdn Bhd.
“Our assignments are very task-based, we train students to use the tools in four months and our emphasis is on job placement,” said Kenjii Yong, IM Foremost skill training programme manager.
Once training is completed, students will then undergo a two months apprenticeship with relevant companies, which may even decide to absorb them for full-time employment during the apprenticeship period for students who are highly competent.
Assistance will be given in terms of securing educational loan financing and relevant job placements throughout the entire training course.
Each batch of intake comprises less than 10 students for individualized attention. Currently, the skill training courses are fully enrolled for its April, May and July intakes.
There shall be two batches of full-time intake for CG 3D Craft in Maya for the month of August with classroom training held from 9.30am to 5.30pm three days a week.
The intakes for part-time tutorials in CG 3D Craft in Maya will be in the months of June and November. Classes are conducted during the weekends for industrial practitioners who wish to upgrade their skill, working professionals and hobbyists.
There are monthly part-time intakes of CG 2D Graphic Design. Night classes are available for live and digital drawing/painting.
Further enquiries and registration can be made via e-mail or live chat through www.CGskill.com or they can leave their number and they will be called back.
